Summary

THE USE OF HEAT AND COLD OF EXHAUST AIR PROVIDES A MARKED SAVING IN FUEL ENERGY RESOURCES. IN ORDER TO SHOW THE MOST ECONOMIC METHOD OF USE FOR HOSPITALS, VARIANTS OF AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS WITH THERMOSIPHONS, INTERMEDIARY HEAT TRANSFER FLUIDS, INDIVIDUAL AIR RECOVERY UNITS, HEAT EXCHANGERS, AIR CONDITIONERS AND HEAT PUMPS WERE COMPARED. THE ANALYSIS SHOWED THAT THE GREATEST ECONOMY IN USING HEAT AND COLD FROM EXHAUST AIR IS OBTAINED BY MEANS OF INDIVIDUAL AIR CONDITIONERS OPERATING AS HEAT PUMPS.
