THE AIR QUALITY ANDHYGIENE, IN AIR CONDITIONING, ARE DEFINED BY THE DEPARTMENTAL SANITARY REGULATIONS AND BY THE WORK CODE. THE MAJOR PRINCIPLES ARE REVIEWED AND SOME ESSENTIAL POINTS ARE UNDERLINED: AIR CIRCULATION, MINIMAL VALUES OF HYGIENE AND THERMAL REGULATION, OPERATING CONDITIONS, CONTROL WITH RESPECT TO THE SANITARY REGULATIONS. IT WOULD BE NECESSARY TO DEFINE THE BACTERIOLOGICAL RISKS AND THE MAXIMAL CONCENTRATIONS OF POLLUTANT OR TOXIC PRODUCTS WHICH ARE ADMISSIBLE. J.L.
