Summary
The use of specially prepared absorbent solutions makes it possible to design air-conditioning plant with open air circuits, an absorber, humidifying devices and heat exchangers. The process described is well known but the salt solution used (Klimat 39305) is a new one and can be regenerated at relatively low temperatures (60 °C): this feature is of value from an energy point of view and is likely to be suitable for use with solar energy.
