Summary
Definition of air ions and their effect on human physiology, especially stress. The author thinks that negative air ions have the following advantages: 1) decrease in air pollution; removal of bad odours; bactericide and fungicide effect (hospitals and food industry); 2) positive effect on human beings: decrease in stress; relaxation; improvement of working capacity and resistance to diseases. Negative ions have already been used in medicine (diseases listed by the author). J.G.
