Summary

This guide, written in collaboration with about fifteen companies and organizations, aims to provide recommendations and practical rules for ventilation and air-conditioning installations in order to ensure good indoor air quality and to protect the occupants' health. These principles concern the main ventilation systems in air-conditioning engineering for the residential and the tertiary sectors. It deals with the design, sizing, installation, maintenance and cleaning, which are necessary stages in order to maintain good indoor air quality and hygienic networks. The first part presents the systems and warns about specific aspects that must be monitored, and the second part details the good practice, component by component, with regards to design, commissioning and maintenance.
