Alternating-current losses in YBCO: silver tapes.
Author(s) : MIRCHANDANI K. N., DAS K. K., KUMAR B.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The frequency dependence of alternating-current losses of a superconducting tape consisting of YBCO material in a silver sheath was measured from 50 hertz to 50 kilohertz using a four-probe technique. Contrary to expectation, the alternating-current losses were found to have a frequency-independent regime in the loss spectrum. A tentative explanation has been offered to account for the frequency-independent loss.
