AMCA, Air Movement and Conditioning Association, was founded in 1955 in order to develop a standard, repeatable and accurate method of testing fans. The action and publications of AMCA are presented and cover laboratory activities in the field of ventilation, and also louvers, dampers, shutters, positive pressure ventilators. In 1995, AMCA became the Air Movement and Control Association International and today boasts 322 companies in 32 countries.
