Summary
Interest in indoor air quality has increased recently. One of the chemical pollutants affecting indoor air quality is ammonia. The paper provides a review of current theoretical knowledge such as the chemical properties, negative human effects, major sources of ammonia and its hygienic limits in the Slovak legislative context.
