AN ANALYTICAL HEAT TRANSFER PREDICTION MODEL FOR CONDENSATION INSIDE LONGITUDINALLY FINNED TUBES.

Author(s) : KAUSHIK N., AZER N. Z.

Summary

AN ANALYTICAL MODEL WAS DEVELOPED TO PREDICT THE CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT INSIDE LONGITUDINALLY FINNED TUBES. THE MODEL PREDICTED WELL THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA FOR A HIGH-SURFACE-TENSION FLUID AND OVERPREDICTED THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA FOR A LOW-SURFACE-TENSION FLUID. IN ADDITION, A PARAMETRIC STUDY WAS PERFORMED TO DETERMINE THE EFFECTS OF THE NUMBER, WIDTH, HEIGHT, AND MATERIAL OF THE FINS ON THE CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER CEEFFICIENT.
