Summary
EXISTING FORMULAE BECOME LESS SUFFICIENT AS POROSITY INCREASES. THE ASYMPTOTIC APPROACH ATTACKS THE PROBLEM FROM THE CONSIDERATION OF A RESULT WHICH IS A PERTURBATION OF CLEAR FLOW. THE METHOD APPEARSTO HAVE SEVERAL ADVANTAGES. THE RESULTS ARE MORE GENERAL AND PARAMETERS CAN BE SEPARATED FOR ANALYSIS. IT IS FOUND THAT THE FORCHHEIMER TERM IS SIGNIFICANT D. W. H.
