Summary

THE INHERENT NONLINEARITY OF MELTING AND FREEZING HAS FORCED ANALYSIS TO BE CONCENTRATED ON SIMPLIFIED EXAMPLES. THIS STUDY PROPOSES THE USE OF A NEW ALGORITHM WHICH UTILISES THE SHAPE FUNCTION RELEVANT TO THE CASE. IT IS SHOWN THAT BY THIS MEANS SIMPLE SOLUTIONS CAN PRODUCE EFFECTIVE RESULTS. D.W.H.
