Summary

METHOD AND PROCEDURES FOR FORMULATING THE EQUATION OF STATE ARE REPORTED. THE EQUATION OF STATE AS A FUNCTION OF TEMPERATURE AND DENSITY IS VALID FROM THE TRIPLE POINT OF 222.35 TO 500 K AND OF PRESSURES FROM THE IDEAL GAS STATE TO 50 MPA. THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES CALCULATED BY THE EQUATION AGREE WELL WITH THE AVAILABLE EXPERIMENTAL DATA. IT IS POSSIBLE TO FORMULATE AN EQUATION OF STATE FOR FLUIDS DESCRIBING THE MOST RELIABLE THERMODYNAMIC STATE SURFACE.
