Summary
A total of 143 women suffering from early cancer of cervix uteri were examined after cryosurgical treatment. Clinical, endoscopic and cytomorphologic characteristics of the tumour were studied. The depth of necrosis and the freezing zone were determined as well as the inflammatory response of surrounding tissues to cryoapplication. Parameters of cellular and humoral immunity of the patients were investigated. Cryosurgical treatment was shown to favour higher curability and rehabilitation of patients with preclinical (83.3%) and clinical (67.8%) cancerous conditions of cervix uteri.
