Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

The dynamic behaviour of a counter-flow, water-heated evaporator is studied experimentally and numerically. The frequency distribution of the random oscillations of the mixture-vapour transition point and the superheat temperature at the exit of the evaporator is obtained for steady operation of the system. The distributed model predicts the variation of the superheat temperature and the evaporator pressure following step changes in the inputs with good accuracy.
