Summary

Presents a prototype refrigeration-come-hot water heating system for domestic use, termed a Home Energy Centre. The heat rejected from a vapour compression refrigerator is stored in a heat sink which is then used to preheat mains water entering the hot water cylinder. A prototype is described.
