Summary

The traditional processes of solid adsorption refrigerating systems operate only with one adsorber. Appreciated for their technological simplicity and their reliability in time, these machines present failures related to their performances, because of intermittency of the basic cycle and sensible heat spent during the heating phase. To mitigate these disadvantages, a process of heat recovery, using two adsorbers working in alternation, is proposed in this work. The optimization of double effect adsorption refrigerating machines is led by the thermodynamic analysis of Clapeyron bases cycle associates to these machines. With this analysis, it possible to highlight the influence of various parameters on the effectiveness of the machine translated by the thermodynamic performance coefficient. A mathematical model based on semi-empirical equation of Dubinin-Astakhov, was established to describe the adsorption phenomenon of the pair activated carbon AC-35/methanol. The various thermal contributions were calculated. Results of numerical simulation were presented, under various operating conditions.
