Summary
Energy saving by heat recovery in an air-conditioning system is analysed, comparing the energy really saved with the maximum possible savings. Analysis was carried out for different exploitation conditions (outdoor temperature, indoor temperature, air flow through the heat exchanger and heat load), and meteorological parameters for Belgrade for one meteorological year. The maximum possible energy saving in an air-conditioning system is determined for ideal (theoretical) conditions, under which maximum heat is being recovered. The comparison between the energy really saved and the maximum possible savings, gives a true picture of energy savings.
