ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURAL STORAGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS.
Author(s) : LAUBSCHER J. M. S.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THIS PAPER ANALYSES THE THEORETICAL BEHAVIOUR OF A SLAB WHEN SUBJECTED TO FLUIDS AT VARYING TEMPERATURES UNDER FORCED CONVECTION CONDITIONS. THE RESULTS ARE THEN APPLIED TO THE < STRUCTURAL STORAGE > AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AND THE PERFORMANCE COMPARED TO A VARIABLE VOLUME SYSTEM. THE GENERAL EQUATIONS FOR UNSTEADY STATE HEAT TRANSFER ARE GIVEN. CALCULATIONS ARE CARRIED OUT FOR A 150 MM CONCRETE SLAB HAVING A 12 MM THICK WOOLLEN CARPET OVER. E.W.S.
