Summary

THE NECESSITY OF MASTERING THE ENERGY REQUIREMENTS OF HABITATS HAS FOSTERED THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE FOR MODELLING THE THERMAL BEHAVIOUR OF PREMISES. MOST OF THE STUDIES CONCERN EMPTY APARTMENTS. THE ORIGINAL FEATURE OF THE WORK UNDERTAKEN IS THAT IT INVOLVED IMPROVING THE MODELLING OF THE ENVELOPE: EXCHANGES BY INFRARED RADIATIONS BETWEEN WALLS ; INCORPORATION OF HUMIDITY ; POSSIBILITY OF INTRODUCING VARIOUS HEATING MODES AND OF CALCULATING THE PHYSIOLOGICAL IMPACT OF THIS ENVELOPE ON THE OCCUPANT. THE STUDY UNDERLINES THAT A GLOBAL BALANCE MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO CHARACTERIZE THE COMFORT CONDITIONS BUT THAT PARTIAL BALANCES ONLY ENABLE ONE TO KNOW THE CONDITIONS OF LOCAL DISCOMFORT.
