Summary
A heat transfer analysis of cooling panels is presented, based on one-dimensional analytical solutions in the directions normal and parallel to the tubes of the cooling panel. A two-dimensional finite-difference solution is also obtained, which is in very good agreement with the one-dimensional analytical solution, especially for thin panels. Therefore, the one-dimensional solution, which is very simple to apply, is recommended for calculations in practice.
