Summary
The Absorption Heat Transformer (AHT) has been proposed as an effective mean for upgrading low grade heat by boosting its temperature. Such low-temperature heat is available abundantly from various sources such as solar, geothermal etc. Of particular interest is industrial waste heat, rejected daily from plants throughout the world, with a total energetic value equivalent to many millions of tons of fossil fuel.
