ALREADY IN 1953/54, THE HOERBIGER COMPANY DEVELOPED CAPACITIVE PICK-UPS FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF VALVE MOTION IN COMPRESSORS ; DIFFERENT DIAGRAMS ARE EXPLAINED AND COMPARED WITH THEORETICAL CURVES CALCULATED BY A COMPUTER. IN ADDITION, A METHOD FOR MEASURING THESE MOTIONS BY GLASS FIBERS IS DESCRIBED.
