Summary

CROSS-FLOW HEAT EXCHANGERS IN AIR CONDITIONING APPLICATIONS HEAT AIR AND ALSO COOL AND DEHUMIDIFY IT. INSTALLATIONS USED ARE GENERALLY MULTI-ROW FINNED TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS CIRCULATED BY BRINE OR CHILLED WATER WHEN USED FOR COOLING. TREATS ESTABLISHMENT OF A MODEL FOR THE DYNAMIC AND STATIC BEHAVIOUR OF MULTI-ROW CROSS-FLOW HEAT EXCHANGERS FOR COOLING AND DEHUMIDIFICATION OF AIR. COMPARISON WITH EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS IS EASILY ACCOMPLISHED BY MEASUREMENTS OF FREQUENCY RESPONSE CURVES. DESCRIPTION OF STATIC BEHAVIOUR MAY BE USED AS A BASIS FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT HUMIDITY CONTROL.(INT. BUILD. SERV. ABSTR., GB., 15, N.6, 1980, 1634/80.
