Blowing-out phenomena of cold and hot air from a thermoacoustic refrigerator.

Author(s) : HARA T., OGAWA N., SHIMIZU K.

Summary

The purpose of the paper is to visualize the temperature distribution in a thermoacoustic tube in order to investigate thermoacoustic refrigeration phenomena. The second purpose is to measure the air flow rate and temperature difference of outlet air from the tube. The refrigeration capacity is calculated using the experimental data and the relationship between the air flow rate and axial pressure distribution in the tube are discussed.
