An experimental investigation on thermoacoustic refrigeration.

Author(s) : HARA T.

Summary

Experimental investigation on thermoacoustic refrigeration was made by an acoustic resonance tube with atmospheric air and a ceramic stack. Stack configuration and location, electrical thermal input, acoustic frequencies were varied in the experiments. Axial pressure and temperature distributions in a tube were measured by a movable pressure transducer and a thermocouple, respectively. Refrigeration capacity was measured with electrical thermal input. Results are given.
