Building commissioning with DDC (direct digital control) systems.

Type of article: Article
Summary
Stand-alone control functions affecting one actuator can be quickly tested during commissioning. DDC systems are far more complex, since one parameter may have a widespread effect within the program. It is necessary to examine all these cross-links before the commissioning process, and devise a method of checking all these operations. This is facilitated by read-out and trend log facilities, which are now built into most of these controllers. A future development may be a self-documenting commissioning procedure. A.R.T.
