Summary

The different constructive features and operating behaviour will be explained and discussed with the help of measured results. The possibilities available with the highly efficient capacity regulator combined with the automatic Vi-control for the screw compressor will also be explained. Finally, some typical application designs for screw compressors ranging between 46 m3/hour and 250 m3/hour are shown, i.e. fully hermetic compressors for use in transport, semi hermetic compressors for single and compound systems, compact screw compressors for chiller systems and finally an open version for refrigerants like ammonia.
