THE PAPER DESCRIBES THE COMPUTER AIDED ENGINEERING APPROACH TO INVESTIGATE THE VIBRATION OF ROLLING PISTON TYPE ROTARY COMPRESSORS IN THE DESIGN AND ANALYSIS STAGES. AT FIRST, THE OPTIMUM DESIGN PROCEDURE FOR THE COMPRESSOR AND PIPING SYSTEM IS PRESENTED. THEN, A COMPRESSOR DATA BASE IS USED FOR A DYNAMIC SIMULATION OF THE ROTARY COMPRESSORS. FINALLY, A PRACTICAL APPLICATION TO THE OPTIMUM DESIGN OF THE ROTARY COMPRESSOR IS CONSIDERED.
