THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE THE COMPUTER-AIDED ENGINEERING APPROACH TO THE PREDICTION AND VISUALIZATION OF A THREE-DIMENSIONAL SOUND FIELD TO REDUCE THE NOISE OF ROTARY COMPRESSORS. WITH THE AID OF THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL COMPUTER GRAPHICS PRESENTATION, ANYONE CAN VISUALIZE SOUND RADIATING BEHAVIOUR MORE REALISTICALLY AT A GLANCE, AND IDENTIFY THE NOISE SOURCE MORE EASILY. AS A RESULT, ONE CAN ACHIEVE REDUCTION OF NOISE FROM ROTARY COMPRESSORS, AS WELL AS SAVE DEVELOPMENT TIME.
