IN THE AVAILABLE THEORETICAL WORKS THE HEAT TRANSFER EQUATIONS FOR A POROUS WALL ARE SOLVED MAINLY NUMERICALLY. NEVERTHELESS, THE LARGE INTRAPOROUS HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT ALLOWS THE ASYMPTOTIC MATCHED EXPANSION METHOD TO BE USED FOR OBTAINING AN APPROXIMALE SOLUTION APPLICABLE FOR THE ENTIRE WALL THICKNESS IN THE MAJORITY OF PRACTICALLY IMPORTANT CASES.
