A LONG-TERM PLAN DRAWN UP IN 1984, FOR THE RATIONALISATION OF OVER 100 COOLING SYSTEMS ON THIS CAMPUS PROVIDES FOR PHASED REPLACEMENT AND EXTENSION. EACH STEP OF THE WORK REQUIRED PLANNING TO ENSURE CONTINUITY ANDEFFICIENT WORKING. TWO MAIN CHILLER ROOMS AND RING MAINS WILL EVENTUALLY SERVE THE ENTIRE AREA. FINAL ECONOMIES IN POWER AND MAINTENANCE WILL RELEASE FUNDS FOR FUTURE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES. NEW CHILLERS ARE TESTED FOR CAPACITY WITH PENALTIES FOR FAILURE TO MEET SPECIFICATION. A.R.T.
