Summary
The article presents a concept for remote-heat coupled short-distance insular supply areas for different refrigeration consumers. The absorption process for refrigeration by lithium bromide-water plants may also be operated with waste heat from electrical power generation, by steam or heating water. The large proportion of power-heat-coupled plants for electrical power generation makes heat from far away places a desirable option.
