Summary

A comparison of the alternating-current energy losses of niobium-titanium composite superconductors at various time intervals over several years is carried out. The observed decrease of eddy-current losses by a factor of 1.4-3.4 is probably associated with increasing effective transverse resistivity of the matrix due to diffusion between niobium-titanium and copper. The processes of aging did not result in a decreasing current-carrying capability.
