Characteristics of low temperature coolants.
Caratteristiche dei fluidi secondari per basse temperature.
Author(s) : SASSI U.
Type of article: Article
Summary
It is necessary to know as far as possible the thermophysical properties and other aspects of these coolants, in order to select the fluid that is most suitable for the application considered and perform the technical calculations on the refrigerating plant accordingly. The IIR recently published a booklet on this subject: a set of tables and diagrams shows the thermophysical properties of various aqueous solutions and non-aqueous low-viscosity coolants which can be used at low temperatures.
