Summary

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PROBLEMS BEFORE CHEMICAL HEAT PUMPS CAN BE COMMERCIALLY UTILIZED IS THE DESIGN OF APPARATUS AND AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT TO PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE CONDITIONS FOR HEAT AND MATERIAL TRANSPORT. A PROGRAM OF RESEARCH WORK USING THEORETICAL AND REAL MODELS AIMED AT INVESTIGATING THE BASIC TRANSPORT PROCESSES INVOLVED IN CHEMICAL HEAT PUMPS. THE WORK IS DIVIDED UP INTO THREE PROJECTS: 1. ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS. 2. CHEMICAL HEAT PUMPS BASED ON AMMONIATES SUSPENDED IN AN INERT SOLVENT. 3. CHEMICAL HEAT PUMPS BASED ON A SOLID PHASE/GAS SYSTEM. (SYNOP. SWED. BUILD.
