THE TESTING ON LABORATORY PROTOTYPES (0.1 TO 2 KILOW CAPACITY) OF CHEMICAL HEAT PUMPS USING EITHER GAS AND A SOLID OR A SATURATED SALT SOLUTION AND A GAS, SHOWED A UNIQUE COUPLING PROBLEM BETWEEN REACTION (GAS-SOLID) OR ABSORPTION (GAS-SATURATED SOLUTION) RATES AND HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER PROCESSES. A PHENOMENOLOGICAL MODELLING ANALYSES THE DYNAMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE REACTOR SUBJECTED TO PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE STRESSES. THE AUTOMATIC MANAGEMENT OF THE CHEMICAL HEAT PUMP REQUIRES SUCH AN APPROACH.
