CHOICE CRITERION FOR MIXED HEAT TRANSFER MODES MODELS IN A POROUS MEDIUM.

Summary

MIXED CONDUCTIVE, CONVECTIVE, RADIATIVE HEAT TRANSFER MODES IN A POROUS MEDIUM IS A DIFFICULT TASK IMPLYING NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS OF PHENOMENOLOGICAL EQUATIONS EVEN FOR THE MONODIMENSIONAL CASE. OFTEN SIMPLIFIED BOUNDARY CONDITIONS ARE USED, THAT ARE A ROUGH ESTIMATION OF REAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH PRACTICAL TECHNOLOGICAL OR EXPERIMENTAL CONFIGURATION. THE AUTHORS DEVELOPAN ADIMENSIONAL ANALYTICAL SOLUTION FOR THE SOLID AND FLUID TEMPERATURES ESTIMATION IN THE MONODIMENSIONAL CASE. THESE EXPRESSIONS ALLOW THE AUTHORS TO PERFORM A SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS FOR THIS TWO-PHASE TRANSFER MODEL IN FUNCTION OF GEOMETRIC AND PHYSICAL SOLID PHASE PARAMETERS, OF FLOWING AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF FLUID PHASE, AND OF BOUNDARY CONDITIONS.
