Choice of liquid secondary refrigerant as we enter the 3rd millennium.
Author(s) : MELINDER Å.
Summary
Some of the indirect systems use newer liquids, such as water solutions of potassium formate. How do these newer products compare with those used for many years? The paper includes a comparison of some of the newer and some longer used liquids for heat pump, refrigeration and freezer applications. The comparison shows that potassium formate-water has very good thermophysical properties.
