Summary
In recent years there has been a rapid increase in the use of multi-split-type air conditioners in systems for buildings. Requirements include: all-year cooling, flexibility for individually selected environments, high space efficiency, and capability of following a change in cooling-heating load due to layout modification. An air conditioner for simultaneous cooling and heating was developed to meet such versatile demands.
