Summary

A DESCRIPTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO CLIMATIC CELLS TO STUDY THE RESPIRATION OF GOATS. THE AIR IN THE CELL IS COOLED BY A WATER-GLYCOL MIXTURE WHOSE TEMPERATURE IS CONTROLLED IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE MOISTURE CONTENT OF THE AIR WHICH IS THEN HEATED TO THE REQUIRED ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITION. IT IS CLAIMED THAT THIS SYSTEM IS MORE ENERGY-SAVING THAN ONE WHICH COOLS THE AIR DOWN TO THE DEW POINT LEVEL AND THEN HEATS IT UP TO THE REQUIRED TEMPERATURE.
