Summary
The TS (Twin-Single) system is based on the altering of the direction of the compressor crankshaft: when the crankshaft rotates in a clockwise manner, both pistons are active, while during anti-clockwise rotation, only one piston is driven. This system has the same advantages in terms of energy consumption as the use of two compressors or a two-speed or variable-speed compressor, but costs much less.
