THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE A COMPACT, LOW-COST CRYOGENIC LASER HEAD SUITABLE FOR USE WITH FRAGILE LASER CRYSTALS WHICH MUST BE OPERATED AT LOW TEMPERATURES. THEIR DESIGN PROVIDES MAXIMUM MECHANICAL STABILITY AND PERMITS EASY INTERCHANGE OF OPTICAL COMPONENTS IN THE LASER CAVITY.
