IN 1902 WILLIS H. CARRIER DEVELOPED THE FIRST MECHANICALLY DRIVEN AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION. SINCE THEN, THE COMPANY HAS MAINTAINED ITS POSITION AS ONE OF THE LEADING INDUSTRIES IN THIS FIELD. THE AUTHOR VISITED BOTH CARRIER HOLLAND (HAZERS-WOUDE) AND FRANCE (MONTLUEL).
