Summary

COMPUTER-SIMULATION MODELS FOR ABSORPTION MACHINE COMPONENTS ARE DESCRIBED BY USING HEAT-BALANCE, MASS-BALANCE AND TRANSFER-RATE EQUATIONS. IN THE PAPER, AN EVAPORATOR, AN ABSORBER, A CONDENSER, A GENERATOR AND A SOLUTION HEAT EXCHANGER ARE CONSIDERED, A GENERATOR AND A SOLUTION HEAT EXCHANGER ARE CONSIDERED COMPONENTS. AFTER ALL THESE COMPONENT EQUATIONS WERE SOLVED, AN ABSORPTION SYSTEM SIMULATION WAS CARRIED OUT. FOR EXAMPLE, A LITHIUM-WATER ABSORPTION SYSTEM DRIVEN BY HOT WATER AS A HEAT SOURCEWAS SIMULATED, AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SYSTEM WERE PREDICTED.
