Summary
Presents a simple technique for heat and mass transfer analysis in an absorption cooling system (ACS). States the water-lithium bromide ACS was selected as an example. Based on optimum operating conditions (i.e., the maximum cooling temperature delivered by the ACS), derives simple but effective expressions in terms of the mass flow rate of absorbent, the most important parameter for practical design calculations.
