Summary

COMPONENT MODELS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED FOR PERFORMANCE SIMULATION OF EQUIPMENT TYPICALLY FOUND IN STATIC ICE STORAGE SYSTEMS USED FOR PEAK ELECTRIC DEMAND MANAGEMENT. THE CURRENT SOFTWARE PACKAGE IS LIMITED TO STATIC, ICE-ON-COIL-TYPE ICE BUILDERS. THE PAPER DOCUMENTS THE ENGINEERING ALGORITHMS INCORPORATED IN TWO OF THE KEY COMPONENT MODELS: THE ICE-BUILDER EVAPORATOR AND THE ICE STORAGE TANK. A GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM AND ITS ALGORITHMIC STRUCTURE IS ALSO GIVEN.
