Summary

This paper describes a prototype test bed elaborated in the authors' laboratory, entirely made of SIMAX technical glass. This test bed makes it possible to simulate actual work of small compressor unit, which runs according to the refrigeration cycle. Photos show progress of crucial processes in the plant. These photos enable evaluation of two-phase flow structures and analysis of chosen flow parameters, e.g. of void fraction. Possibility of analysis based on visual inspection concerned with design of real flow processes as well as observation of oil circulation and deposition in depicted points of the cooling installation are pointed out.
