Type of article: Article
Summary
The articles in this file describe several improvements manufacturers have introduced to their ranges of reciprocating and scroll compressors. These improvements have come about because of regulations on explosive atmospheres either with a view to maintaining the desired lubricating oil viscosity. Finally, the manufacturers unveil their research focuses for the coming years: use of modelling to redesign components, new refrigerants (CO2) and use of heat pumps.
