Summary
In practice, designers usually determine a piping thermal insulation thickness on the basis of their experience or according to recommendations from various manuals or prospectuses. Of course, such sizing cannot be optimal; therefore, experts from the University of Maribor have developed a new program in cooperation with a thermal insulation producer. A computer application is intended for heat loss calculations and insulation thickness determination on CD-ROM.
