Summary

By concrete core cooling the installed cooling capacity for a building can be reduced a lot. This is achieved through the cold storage of energy inside the concrete massive of the floor. Till now, quantitative information regarding the reduction of cooling capacity was not available. DWA installatie- en energieadvies, has made in cooperation with the Technical University Eindhoven, a research study for systems with mechanical ventilation. The article presents the results of measuring and a width range of applicable design guidelines.
